CONVEYOR TRIP SWITCH
Type: CTS 300 PSW/DC
The CTS 300 PSW/DC conveyor trip switch is an emergency stop switch, which provides the facility to stop the conveyor electrically at any point along, side the conveyor. The switch can be operated manually via the blue knob which is pad locked in the “OFF" position or via the pulling mechanism.
Once the switch has been operated, it latches in “OFF" position and requires manual reset. The pulling mechanism has been designed to compensate for temperature drifts thus preventing spurious trips. The recommended pulling distance for the conveyor trip switch is a 100 m from each side. The electrical switch is a rotary type, self wiping action, consisting of 2 change over contracts rated to 500V 16A.
The CTS 300 PSW/DC conveyor trip switch consists of two enclosures made of high impact U.V. stabilized polycarbonate. The top enclosure consists of the electrical switch, an electronic PCB and a network of alarms and LED’s for pre start warning and trip indication. The bottom enclosure consists of a PCB populated with terminals for pull cable connections equipped with 3 gland entries and a push to talk speech communication unit. This speech communication unit enables operators and maintenance personnel to communicate from any point alongside the conveyor.
The CTS 300 PSW/DC can be used only in a complete safety on board system, which is controlled via the head end control unit.
