CONVEYOR BLOCKED CHUTE DETECTOR

Type : CTS 600 BCD

The CTS 600 BCD block chute detector is a tilt-type switch, which is mounted
inside the chute to monitor any blockage in the material conveyed.

The switch consists of 3 mercury switches connected in series.  The switches are mounted in a formation of 120 degrees from each other. The block chute detector is secured by a wire rope.
Should material start to build up due to a blockage, it will lift the sensing rod which will start to tilt the switch - any tilt to the switch above 15 degrees will cause one of the mercury switches to open.

The mercury switches are encapsulated in a, mild steel enclosure.
