CONVEYOR BELT SEQUENCE SWITCH
Type: CTS 700 BSSM
BELT SEQUENCE DETECTION
The belt speed detection unit consists of a roller mounted on a beam attached to two swing arms. The roller is held against the underside of the toughing belt by two stainless steel springs and the rotary speed of the roller is electronically monitored.
The termination of the speed unit can be on the left or right-hand side of the unit. This consists of an enclosure which is made of high impact polycarbonate UV stabilised and carries a rating of IP65 degree of protection.
The CTS 700 BSSM can be placed at the head end of the conveyor and used as a speed deco or placed at the tail end of the conveyor and used as a sequence deco.
Place the BSSM on the belt structure and mark the four mounting holes, the four mounting holes must be 10.5mm. Bolt the BSSM onto the structure with the four M10 bolts supplied.
Connect the indicated voltage to the unit and connect the relay output to the equipment which is to be controlled by the BSSM. Start the conveyor and run it fully loaded, set the trip percentage on the rotary selector and then press the button to set the run speed of the unit. The BSSM is now setup, if the conveyor is below trip the relay contacts will be open and if the conveyor is above trip speed the relay contacts will be closed.
