Head End Control Unit

Type: CTS 2000 MK8 HECU

The CTS MK8 Head End Control Unit is an intelligent, programmable
control panel, which has a built-in facility for fault diagnostics.
The HECU controls, monitors and supervises the Long Line Protection
System and provides the following facilities:

  • Man Machine Interface via a 15 inch LCD Panel and 4 * 20 character LCD.
  • Up to 48 VDC line voltage for single supply use in long line applications, up to 6.5km on single supply.
  • Short circuit proof line supply, with auto reset on short removal.
  • Communication with new type intelligent Pull-key with auxiliary input, new dual input primary device.
  • System core running on Dual AVR Risk Processors.
  • History logging in excel Format to SD Type multimedia card with real time and date.
  • Pull-key  beep if tripped facility (menu selectable).
  • Audio test of intelligent Pull-key buzzers ( To make sure buzzers are sounding)
  • Transmission of information to the CCR via Mod-Bus RTU RS 232/485.
  • Optional RTU to Ethernet Converter.
  • Optional Ethernet to Fiber Converter.
  • Electrical fail safe to interlock to switch gear which overrides software.

  • Transmission of information to the CCR via the PLC.
