CONVEYOR MISSALIGN DETECTOR
TYPE: CTS 7000 RFBL
Belt Misalignment with no moving parts Misalignment of the Trothing Belt is detected via sensors, mounted on top of the Trothing belt. The alignment sensors send a narrow beam towards the belting and measure the reflected signal. Should the belt run off, either to the right or to the left, the resulting signal will be outer limits and will trigger an alarm. The alarm will give a visual indication via a LED to indicate whether the misalignment occurred on the left or the right side. Should the duration of the misalignment exceed the pre-determined period it will send a trip signal and stop the conveyor. Once the unit has tripped, it requires a manual reset.
CONVEYOR MISSALIGN AND TEAR
TYPE: CTS 9000 SCIRD
Misaligning and Rip of the toughing belt is detected via three sensors mounted inside en closures above the toughing belt.
The Rip sensor is mounted on the centre of a beam that runs across the belt and, the misalignment two one on either side 70mm from the belts edge towards the centre of the belt. The sensors send narrow beams towards the belting and measure the reflected signal. Should a rip occur in the centre of the belt the sensor will trip, should the belt cross to the inside the beam will be broken on either one or both sides resulting in the signal to be out of limits and this will trip the conveyor.
In a case that the belt runs off, either to the right or the left in a misalign condition, the unit will trip out on the same principle due to the sensor not getting its signal back from the surface of the belt.
